Women Taking the Lead on Climate

Did you know that studies show women are 2.5 times more likely to engage on climate issues and 60% more likely to advocate for social good?

As climate change impacts communities across the globe, women are rising to meet the challenge. At BOLD Earth Collective, we love the initiative launched globally during New York Climate Week in September 2024, Women Leading on Climate, as an example of coalitions and campaigns that can bring women and girls from all walks of life together to create one powerful voice for collective climate action.

The powerhouse coalition founded by Catherine McKenna, and María Mendiluce, CEO of the We Mean Business Coalition, launched an impactful social media campaign for COP29 in Baku Azerbaijan, #WomenLeadingOnClimate. Our Founder proudly participated in in the call to action joining the voices of women activists worldwide including Vanessa Nakate, Sophia Kanni, Nathalie Kelley, Arizona Muse, Aditi Mayer, Temilade Olanrewaju, Tori Tsui, Laurel Kivuyo, Mitzi Jonelle Tan, Priscila Tapajowara, and Farwiza Farhan

If you haven’t heard about Women Leading on Climate, we encourage you to take a look, engage in the conversation, and join the movement ahead of New York Climate Week or COP30!
